How to get here
By local train "Rurtalbahn" (with a valid ticket)
Take the local train service – the Rurtalbahn 'RB21' – from Düren or Linnich train stations to the ‘Forschungszentrum’ stop. From there, take the shuttle bus to Forschungszentrum Jülich. If you walk, it will take approximately 15 minutes to reach the main entrance of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
By car
Coming from Cologne (Köln) on the A 4 motorway (Köln – Aachen) take the ‘Düren’ exit, then turn right towards Jülich. Proceed to one of the nearby car parks (see map).
Coming from either Aachen or Düsseldorf on the A 44 motorway (Düsseldorf – Aachen) take the ‘Jülich-West’ exit. At the first roundabout turn left towards Jülich. Proceed to one of the nearby car parks (see map).
Forschungszentrum Jülich will be a car-free zone on Open Day 2019. Free shuttle buses will bring visitors from designated car parks in Jülich to Forschungszentrum Jülich and back again. Buses will depart approximately every half hour from 09:30 a.m.
Cyclists are very welcome on campus.
