How to reach us

No cars are allowed on campus on Open Day.
Starting at 09:30, there will be regular free shuttle buses to take you to and from (last departure at Forschungszentrum 17:30) the designated car parks around the town of Jülich and Forschungszentrum Jülich’s main entrance (P1–P6) or Hambach gate entrance (P7 - P10).

Cyclists are very welcome on campus.

By train (subject to charge)

You can take the RB 21 Rurtalbahn train (operating an extended service; you will need to purchase a valid ticket) from Düren or Linnich to the “Forschungszentrum” stop. From there, you can walk (approx. 15 minutes) or take one of the regular free shuttle buses to the main entrance of Forschungszentrum Jülich.

By car

Coming from Cologne (Köln) take the A 4 motorway (Cologne – Aachen), leave the motorway at the Düren exit, and then turn right towards Jülich. Then head for the local car parks (see overview).

Coming from Aachen take the A 44 motorway (Aachen – Düsseldorf) and leave the motorway at the Jülich-West exit. At the first roundabout turn left towards Jülich. Then head for the local car parks (see overview).
